Where can I buy safe “weapons” that just knockout for a short time?
My friend and I are starting an ongoing game between two teams of roughly 8 and we want some item(s) that aren't dangerous to the body that can knock ppl out. eg. gas, taser, etc..

most states have laws against that, even tasers or pepper spray are not legal in every state.
and knocking a person out isnt always the brights thing to do, there can be side effects, which you would be held accountable for.

You can’t purchase knockout gas, and tazers have been linked to deaths in the past.
What you’re looking for doesn’t exist. And to use any sort of weapon while you’re just "playing" is just asking for trouble.

There isn’t a "safe" way to render someone unconscious. When you have surgery and they put you under they don’t just give you generic dosage, they have specially trained experts that administer the drugs and monitor your vitals. Gases and poisons can be equally fatal. Depriving a person of oxygen will render them unconscious but you risk causing brain damage as well.
There is a case in Mexico where a ring of "prostitutes" would solicit Johns, go up to a hotel room and drug them then run off with their valuables. In this particular case these women targeted a couple midget wrestlers. The dose that rendered previous victims unconscious actually killed the smaller victims.

Tazers don’t always knock you "unconscious" but they interrupt your ability to coordinate movement. You’ll drop your friends and cause severe pain, but there isn’t a guaranteed KO here. As mentioned they have been increasing linked to deaths and their safety is being questioned in several countries.
I guess you could try to invent the phaser…just make sure you keep it set to stun. Other than that there isn’t a "safe" way to render someone unconscious. You risk causing serious harm, brain damage or death running around trying to knock each other out. If you’re all agreeing to this I’d say you probably should be risking any more brain damage.
