Gun shops have the worse thing on giving a underage child a gun. It is illogical, ridiculous, and irresponsible of them to do such a thing like that.

I'm not a dealer, I've checked local gun shops AND pawn shops, and I've tried gun/trade shows. Just trying to find one to buy. And yes, I've checked eBay....

There's a reason why the law changed and made it illegal to carry guns in the public like it used to in the Wild West days. We are progressing and realized certain laws don't work or new laws has to be written to protect the majority from the few criminals. For instance, drunk driving wasn't such a big issue about 15 years ago but then it's the very few that caused the law to change. So it's time that the law of the right to bear arms should change to only the law enforcement to carry guns. Otherwise, the gun shops will always sell to anyone just to make profit. We will always be primitive until we completely rid of all gun shops so Columbine and Virginia incident won't happen so easily.
To Auburn and all others who think having guns for protection is a right: So how often do you really need to use the gun to protect yourselves when if you completely eliminate guns then you wouldn't need guns to protect as much. It guys like whou have to sacrifice not having guns so that Columbine and Virginia wouldn't have happened to the extreme. You're all idiots and can't see the cause.

Many countries have absolute prohibition of guns and they do not have a problem.

USA should prohibit all kinds of guns from the society. It may take two or three years to completely track and remove all legal and illegal guns. And initially there may be a situation where good people do not have guns but bad people have. But it’s worth taking that risk.

When there will be no guns in the neighborhoods, no gun shops and not gun import or smuggling then there is no reason for me to have a legal gun.

I'm about to move into my first apartment so I'm thinking about purchasing a firearm. I was thinking and there can't be anything more intimidating to a burglar than to walk in on somebody with an AK on hand so that's what I want to go with. I have no clue where to look for one though? We have a few gun shops around here but I havent checked them yet or would it be better to purchase online? Also what kind of prices can I expect and what kind of license do I need to keep a gun in my home for self-defence and to take to a firing range.

I am an American. I have a restricted-class firearms permit which allows me to carry shotguns, rifles, or certain types of pistols into Canada (you don't actually have to be a Canadian citizen to get these permits, oddly enough).

I plan to go to Cache Creek, BC to meet up with some guys who live there and go shooting. But I'm going to Vancouver first. Where around Vancouver can I buy some ammunition and accessories? What are the best gun shops in the area? Where can I meet up with some Canadian gun enthusiasts in the area?

Just wondering because Obama says tightening restrictions at these places will keep us safe. Taxing ammo more will keep us safe. Stricter background checks will keep us safe. (What are we going to have now, a credit check?) I thought the bad guys buy their guns on the streets. Oops, my mistake.

Serious question - There are several gun shops in my area that have some nice used rifles. How can I negotiate a fair price? These rifles are used but marked will the full LIST price. I can get the same rifle new at Big 5, for less.

I don't want to come across with an attitude but man, they are way too high for a used rifle. Got some "negotiating skills" that you can share with me for getting a fair deal for all involved?

I've heard of certain gun shops passing off refurbished weapons as brand new ones, and would really like to avoid any possibility of shenanigans like that. I'm not extremely knowledgeable in the area, so I wouldn't necessarily be able to tell the difference.

I guess I'm being paranoid, but it's an expensive piece of hardware for me at the moment and I want to make sure I'm getting every penny's worth. Is there a source that will be 100% trustworthy?

If they were familiar with an obscure site called "google", they could find out that Obama has a moderate position on gun control, and has never advocated taking guns away. But the gun shops sure are profiting over Obama's alleged intentions. Just a coincidence?
