Recently. I saw Remington Viper 522 in local gun shop. Price is 0. I don't think any semi-auto Plinker is in that range. Should I buy or pass ?

this will be my last post about this question

if i were to go down to the gun shop, wouldnt they have to do a background check first, and wouldnt it be a couple of days before they give you the gun?

the reason i ask is because if you have a pistol license you can go in to any gun shop and buy rifes, shotguns, and handguns and leave right away with them.
you people do realize I mean Fully Automatic Firearm License not a Full Automobile License I have no idea how you could possible confuse that. Why would I be comparing automobiles and fire arms. Did you not pass the 4th grade or something

Hey, i'm guessing since your on here you either own a gun shop, or were interested by the question, but either way your here and helpful information is a plus. I am 13 years old and i love hunting and guns. Im not a psycho with guns or anything, im pro guns and pro gun control. I have had the dream of owning a gun shop, because it is a job I would really really love because I would relate with the customers or others at the shop. I was wondering what kind of money it takes to start, what it takes to get a license, or what kind of license I need, what kind of schooling it takes. I plan straight out of highschool to join the army for a few years, i'm doing the 2 year enlistment to help with college and pass time, and keep myself out of trouble. Then when im 21 or 22 start my schooling and work on my license and gunsmith work to get ready for the shop. Any information would be helpful. Thanks in advance.~Silas

i have noticed that every firefighter i know have or own a gun. i go to the gun shop to buy a handgun, i see some guys wearing a local firefighter t shirt looking at guns. i go to the shooting range, i see some firefighters wearing a local firefighter t shirt and shooting their guns. i used to work as a cashier at a local store, when people come in to pay for something and they pay by credit card, i am required to see their i.d., when guys come in to pay by credit card, they show me their i.d., instead of showing me their driver license, they show me their firefighter license and right next to that i.d. in their wallet is a concealed handgun license. why? why do all firefighters carry guns and always look pissed off for? their not cops, its not like they have the right to use their gun and shoot people. - no disrespect to firefighters

Now that DC residents are allowed to own weapons, I was interested in possibly opening a gun store/range in the District. What do I need to open a business and more specifically, a gun shop.

I would like to sell the 3 guns separately or as a package, quickly. Any suggestions other than the local gun shop?

If I want to buy and sell firearms including automatic weapons from my home (not a gun shop) what type of license do I need?

I graduated a Police Academy and I am Currently State certified in Florida as a Law Enforcement Officer. I am not currently on with any agency. I am turning 21 in 2 weeks, do I have to get my concealed weapons permit if I graduated a Police Academy and I am State Certified? If so thats crazy because I obviously know what i'm doing. Any help?
Well I appreciate all of the answers. And to those who have a "shoebox of certifications" that just says you're one of those people who's career in life is attending school and getting every certification possible.I had a woman in my class who was 52 and certified in everything possible and she hasn't even tried police work, she wants to be an EMT now at 52 years old... I know agencies have policies about carrying off duty, but since I am not with one, I travel a lot and would like the protection. My academy was excellent and as far as my question, I agree that it would be necessary to take the course, and I have no problem with it but its a simple question with simple answers and I couldn't even find a gun shop/range whatever that could give me a clear answer.Police work is all about learning, you get on the street and life is totally different. I really appreciate every ones help! Thanks!
1 more thing...my question isn't do I need a permit to carry a concealed weapon..I ALREADY KNOW THAT! My question was, do I actually have to take the class, not the required things like a background check..
Thanks again

I don't mean registered their firearms, buy gun with the sale recorded in the gun shop.

In my area (eastern Pennsylvania) I went to a near by gun shop and talked to the guy about getting a wasr-10. Not surprisingly, he told me that he was sold out. But what shocked me most is that he said the latest prices for ak-47s are in the range of 0-0 (for his shop). Look, I know that prices are up. But those prices are just fanatical. I never imagined that he would double the prices on those guns. Have any of you had similar experiences?

Im thinking about going to a gun range to learn to shoot handguns (ex army but they never showed us Truck Drivers how to shoot handguns). Also, how much does it cost to shot and a range and do ranges have ammo you can buy or do you have to get that from a gun shop. Do gun ranges have instructors to show one the basics? Whats a pistol for a beginner to use. HOpefully a pistol that is easy to clean!!!!

the guys in the gun shop told me about 200+ for the cheapest one thats around. 200??? for a little laser ??? come on theres gotta be ones that are cheaper? and what do you think about laser sights? thanks guys

Do I need a permit to buy a hangun at a gun shop in Philadelphia or can I apply for one at the gunshop I am not at all how the process works can someone out there help me. Thanks.I also only want the gun for Home protection.

What is the minimum age to work in a gun shop?

Sorry if this is a stupid common-sense question. I want to buy a handgun for personal/home defense purposes. If I go to the gun shop and buy a gun, after passing the background checks and it's time to take it home, how do you take it home with you if you can't conceal it? You just hold it in your hand in plain sight? And what about bringing it to a shooting range? You just put it on the seat in your car or what? What if you get pulled over by a cop for speeding or something?
BTW I live in Virginia.

i live in nyc. any used gun shop advice or specific models i should look for is welcome.

I was thinking about getting a job at a gun shop and I wanted to know what requirements I need to meet. I want to know everything(age, education, ect.).

My grandfather gave me his .38 special and the firing pin is broken or messed up and u cant unload and load it can me ( a 18 year old ) take it to a gun shop to have it fixed by myself? or do i need some one 21+ with me? (i live in georgia)
idk if the firing pin is broke thats what my grandpa told me so idk its loaded but i cant open it to unload it

If I were to go to my local gun shop, would I be able to purchase two handguns and two rifles in the same day or is there a limit to how many you can purchase in one sitting?

I am looking for a job but I don't want to look like an idiot when I apply at the local gun shop.
Please, no answers that are anti-gun.

I was wondering if i can take my automatic gun to get fixed at any local gun shop ? Or since they are illegal im screwed. Thanks
