Hey, i'm guessing since your on here you either own a gun shop, or were interested by the question, but either way your here and helpful information is a plus. I am 13 years old and i love hunting and guns. Im not a psycho with guns or anything, im pro guns and pro gun control. I have had the dream of owning a gun shop, because it is a job I would really really love because I would relate with the customers or others at the shop. I was wondering what kind of money it takes to start, what it takes to get a license, or what kind of license I need, what kind of schooling it takes. I plan straight out of highschool to join the army for a few years, i'm doing the 2 year enlistment to help with college and pass time, and keep myself out of trouble. Then when im 21 or 22 start my schooling and work on my license and gunsmith work to get ready for the shop. Any information would be helpful. Thanks in advance.~Silas

I'd like to purchase an AR-15 sometime in the future, though I'm not going to lie...I have no the slightest idea which are the better brands and for what reasons make them better. Anyone care to share their knowledge?
Hey thanks.
And just FYI. I've already qualified expert in the Army, now that I'm out...I just want my own rifle that I'd be familiar with. :)

I am currently in the army and i am looking for a place to buy an m-4 style ar-15 with the collapsable stock and all but all the places i have been and seen online dont have any in stock.. Anyone know where i can find one?
even a used one would be sufficient

I saw body armor on line for sale and its real but can just any person go and buy it or do they have to be in the army?

I am only 18 years old, so i don't know much about the requirements. I want to become a good shot before I join the Army.

Could you please tell me if this is possible and all the procedures I will have to go through?

I thank the person who spends the time to tell me everything I need to know. Thank you very much.
Explain what I can get that is close if I can't.

Im thinking about going to a gun range to learn to shoot handguns (ex army but they never showed us Truck Drivers how to shoot handguns). Also, how much does it cost to shot and a range and do ranges have ammo you can buy or do you have to get that from a gun shop. Do gun ranges have instructors to show one the basics? Whats a pistol for a beginner to use. HOpefully a pistol that is easy to clean!!!!

I am wanting to buy either one or the other. I am way more familiar with the AR-15 because it's just like the M-16 that I used in the Army. I've heard some old school veterans say that the M-16 is crap compare to a M-14. What do you think? And about how expensive is a M-14?

I'm in the army, just went to my first 9mm range, and I loved it. There was something enjoyable about firing a handgun that felt totally different from anything else I've fired. The 9mm had nearly no kick which was also kinda nice(a little change from my M-240B). Anyhow, how much should i expect to pay for my own handgun and where should i look? Do i run any risks from buying from a pawn shop? I'm really just looking for something to spray bullets out of, accuracy isn't a big concern for me.

My nephew loves anything military. He wants to join the army and be a scout. He is eleven and this is the question he wanted to put on here. Any military guys, or girls, out there have any info at all on the history or logistics of the M16, please let me know. Thank You!
Just wanted to let the anti-gun nuts on here know that my nephew is actually home schooled and they don't allow uneducational television in their home! His interest in the military comes from a long family history of military members, Air Force, Marines, and Army, so if you are offended just don't answer. He just wants to be educated on something that has been a part of his family for generations!!

Gun store fatigues along with Civilian rifles shotguns in the hands of the average Middle-Class republican isn't going to do much against an Obama controlled Army of M-16s in the hands of poor inner-city kids who've been salivating at a chance for domestic attacks against the middle class for years.

I would bring that arrogance down if I were you.
Mike - you really believe that, don't you?

im playing a war game where i am uraguay and paraguay, and id like to know how much an m16 costs so that i can outfit my military with it.

dont worry, these war games arent like the movie. :^)
err...i meant an american m16. so if that changes anything, idk.

and im not planning on buying one. i want to know a rough figure so i can buy some for my army in a forum game.

We are in the Army, however, we do not personally own any guns...hence no safe. My son's godfather has asked us to store his personal weapons for him while he is in Afghanistan, but I want to ensure total safety. He will be storing an AK-47 and a handgun of some kind here. We have a child in the house, so safety is an issue. We also want to prevent theft in case of a break in as well. Any suggestions?
