I would go with an AR-15. It does cost more, but there is a lot more accessories you can get for it later.

Don't buy either. if you want an AK that looks like an AK buy a Romanian WASR 10. They are $350.00 and are identical to a russian AK. Here is a link to the store.

AK 47 original. 2 main reasons. 1. AK are indestructable and never need to b cleaned. 2. ammo: 7.62 x 39 20 rds. 4.99 .223 20 rds 16.99. I would sugesst to buy the SAIGA and not convert it. Looks like a AK and its easy on the pocket.

when i turned 18 i remember i was in the same position.
id go with an ar15 cause they more customizable, and u can also build it up to a 6.8, theyre way more accurate then an ak
www.rockriverarms.com
www.bushmaster.com
www.stagarms.com/
there also cmmg but i dont know the site

Saigas are an ak, theyre pretty good but not as accurate as an ar15, saiga also makes a nice semi auto shotty
but ya the ak is way cheaper to fire and use
with an ar15 expect to spend up to 1100 just to get it the way u want (rails vert grip, collapsable stock, etc..)
if ur doing sport shooting or competitions id recommend the ar15 , u can get a way tighter grouping with it
