Is it illegal for a convicted felon to be employed by a pawn shop due to the guns that are being sold/pawned?
Ya, I thought so too, but in a recent custody hearing my sister's ex husband (whom is a convicted felon) stated on stand, under oath that he was working at a pawn shop located in his hometown. The judge didnt even blink an eye, shouldnt he have known?

Most convicted felons cannot be anywhere guns are accessable.
If he’s handling the weapons, yes.
edit- He’s fine working there as long as he’s not the one handling the guns or selling them. So the judge didn’t mind because it’s not illegal if he’s selling other items, unless state law prohibits it (and there are a few states where a felon can’t work in a pawn shop by state law, but not many.)
Yes.
It depends on the conditions set in his parole papers.
I’m not sure; you’ll probably have to check with the laws of your state to see. I wouldn’t think this would be legal, or at least he wouldn’t be allowed to handle the weapons.
