Do you think that they should reduce the legal age to buy a handgun and ammo to 18 yrs?
i mean, if you can enlist in the military, vote, and pay taxes shouldn't you have the right to buy a handgun and ammo?

Absolutely.
If you’re old enough to fight for our country in Iraq, you’re old enough to buy a handgun. You’re also old enough to drink a beer. even a scotch. Some of our age-based laws were created by morons.
I’ve got news for you. They’re going to outlaw guns for everyone. And yes, I think it should be 18 years old.
i think it should be 14 years old
isnt it 18 now? i bought a shot gun at 16 no questions asked…
Actually, if you ARE or have been in the military, you can buy a handgun and ammo before 21 in most states. My sister’s nephew bought a hand gun last year at 19 while he was on medical leave from the Army. Of course, he couldn’t take it with him when he went back to Iraq, so his Dad has it until then.
Kids between 18-21 used to be able to legally buy this stuff. They lost the right because too many people abused it.
You have a great point and I agree with you but at the same time I think someone is more mature at 21 than 18 and I guess thats why the law is like that.
