Bulletproof vest = mass shooter waiting to happen?
Past couple of mass shooters were wearing bulletproof vest. REALLY who in the hell buy bulletproof vest who is not either in the military or on a police force. Can't we just assume that anyone buying one of these items has BIG things on their mind and should be questioned right away?

No- people buy them all the time. If you’re an EMT or volunteer in an urban area you may need one.
I disagree, I think it would be cool to own one. Maybe not for me cause I am a cheap student but maybe someday. I’d think it was pretty strange to see someone walking down a street with one on but I think owning one would be sweet.
Same could be said for any one buying an assault rifle, body armour at least is defencive and there are people out there who are legitimately enough of a target to warrant wearing one. I know if I were somebody responsible for loosing thousands of peoples retirement savings I wouldn’t leave home without one.
I own a couple of sets of body armor. As well as many firearms, Including an WASR-10 AK-47, and a couple of AR-15’s. America was set up to keep the power in the hands of the people, and to restrict the domestic powers of the central government. The thought being that one should fear the government that is too afraid to allow its people to possess firearms.
If the the people feel that the Government has become tyrannical (like the colonists felt about Britain) they need to have the ability to abolish this government and institute a new one.
Tell ya something, With all the shootings and stuff going on @ schools and what have ya, if I had the money to buy one I would. And I would wear it pretty much everywhere I went. It’s really sad to think what the world is coming to.
Peace
Maybe a few years ago, but now it seems that it may be a safety measure for anyone regularly attending any institution.
Sure. As a matter of fact, we could just lock up anybody who does anything weird. Posting questions on YA suggesting we change our legal system (you know, the presumption of innocence thing?) would qualify.
I think that is a totally ridiculous statement. A lot of people buy bullet proof vests, which is why there are so many companies that sell them to the general public. With the number of guns, terrorists, and school shootings that there are this day in age, you can never be too careful. I think for some people, a bullet proof vest if a "sign of safety" and "peace of mind" to them, while other people just consider them a luxury, fun, status item they just have to have to be "cool".
Saying that bullet proof vest purchasers are up to something when they purchase them is like saying that everyone who purchases a gun is going to murder someone.
if yr worried about getting shot by a mass shooter, I suggest you go buy a bulletproof vest.
