Can a bulletproof vest protect you at close range? I also don't think it can protect you from a slug or AK47 but am just curious.

I'm trying to find a lower receiver for AR-15 rifle that will ship or available in California that's not at a ridiculous price. Anyone that can help please do.

I don't know much about guns and ammo, so I am wondering what kind of 357 magnum handgun would I buy to protect myself from an intruder, and what kind of bullets? Okay, so I want to get a Smart Parts Epiphany w/ a halo loader ripdrive, and possibly a new barrel. What else would i need to get into paintballing. It may not be affordable to give it to every troop, but do you think that some day our special ops units like the Navy SEALs will get highly advanced body armor? I'm thinking a heavy armor suit with a full helmet to cover the head with an advanced Heads Up Display with battle data?

I think such armor given to an already elite force would make them damn near invincible.

Need to replace the barrel? From what I've read on questions and answers on Yahoo!Answers is that your supposed to replace the barrel on the gun otherwise it won't be very accurate. I have a Bushmaster AR 15 with the Varminter/Predator Free-Floater Tube and I want to buy a tactical foregrip for it but every foregrip I see is for the picatinny or weaver style railing systems. Where can I find foregrips, and flashlights to fit my style ar 15? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I see it in the movies all the time. Lethal Weapon 1 comes to mind. When Riggs gets shot during that drive-by, he flies into the store window and lies unconscious. A few seconds later, he comes to and is in his maniac mode.

Ok, I know that this is a movie...an unrealistic one, at that. But this is the same thing that happens in a whole lot other movies as well. Is this what really happens when you get shot while wearing a bulletproof vest?

Why does this happen? Is it the force of the bullet? Or the shock of getting hit?
